International Telecommunication Engineer

Responsible for the installation, testing, monitoring, maintenance and certification of telecoms transmission and routing equipment in technical facilities and customer property, much of your effort will be directed to teaching and supporting others.
You will conduct assembly and installs, testing and diagnostic procedures of transmission equipment, DXC, Switch and a variety of ancillary equipment. Fibre locates, monitoring of construction activity, fibre splicing and termination will also be your responsibilities.
Carrying out periodic maintenance on company transmissions support equipment, you will co-ordinate the installing, testing and turn up of systems with OEMs to ensure transmission systems accord with vendor and company specifications. Maintaining circuits using troubleshooting and fault isolation techniques, you will utilise remote test systems to isolate and resolve customer circuit outages and impairments up to the highest of complexity. You may also lead a small team of professional installers or testers in project implementation.

Skills

You should be familiar with Carriers and Telecom infrastructure in Egypt, with installation, commissioning and testing of Cisco and Nortel/Ciena equipment and with VSAT installation and commissioning. You must have an in-depth knowledge of job related tools and applications as well as strong analytical and problem solving skills. Extensive experience or a good combination of education and experience will be required.
